Private Virtual Tasting Events

Cocoa Beantown’s virtual tastings allow folks from the comfort of their homes, or anyplace with internet access, to attend a fine craft chocolate tasting.

Guided by a chocolate educator with a decade’s worth of experience, including being to selected to attend the first ever Colombia Chocolate Week in 2019, our virtual chocolate tasting programs feature carefully curated menus, with chocolate samples picked especially for your group or to fit a specific theme.

We also offer a “How to Be a Chocolate Expert” cooperative tasting class in the virtual setting, featuring a discussion/demo on aspects of fine craft chocolate, then guests are lead through a series of blind tastings for attendees to guess between high end and low end samples, à la the Epicurious Youtube series, “Ask an Expert.”

Chocolate 101 with Gräem Nuts and Chocolate Virtual Event

Take a journey from the cacao bean to the piece of chocolate you know and love as you discover the background behind each bite. Victoria Kichuk from Cocoa Beantown will guide you through an educational exploration of the layers of chocolate production from the cocoa bean, to the chocolate maker and ending with the chocolatier. The class will also focus on the difference between truffles and bon bons, as well as the differences between Greek, Belgian and French chocolates. The class will explore the differences in percentages on chocolate, with tastes of milk and dark chocolates along the way. In addition to the educational component, you will be guided through a tasting experience of chocolate specialties from Gräem Nuts and Chocolate. Tickets may be purchased in store or online at, and tasting boxes may be picked up at Gräem Nuts and Chocolate in Concord.

Cocoa Beantown Virtual Media Event

Throughout the COVID-19 stay-at-home advisory, Cocoa Beantown is going virtual! Join us on our Facebook page for weekly livestreams featuring educational programming on a variety of chocolate topics, including Massachusetts chocolate history, the science of chocolate, chocolate and the environment, and more! These programs are family friendly and feature a host of interactive elements, allowing folks at home and hands-on learners to gain knowledge and have even more fun with live trivia for prizes, Q&A sessions, games, and more. These shows are put together to help educate and entertain while folks are stuck at home, but also to foster positive energy and provide some stress relief in this time of anxiety. If you attend our events and find that we helped you learn something, brought you a smile or a laugh, or just took your mind off things for a bit, please consider purchasing an e-ticket (or a few) to help support Cocoa Beantown as we are unable to host any of tours or tasting events during this time.
